Nowadays, if you want to visit a website, you are often paying with your privacy.
An annoying pop-up appears with the title "We value your privacy", followed by an explanation of how they violate your privacy.
This is not one of those websites. I am not interested in your personal details, tracking the websites you visit or profiling.
The only thing I want from you is that you like this website, learn from it and perhaps recommend it to others who need it as well.
That being said, here are the things you should know about this website:
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics. Using Google Analytics, I can discover the following:
- the pages on this website that are being visited
- the countries those visitors are from
- some search terms that were entered into Google that lead to visiting this website (but only a few, 99% are not visible)
- what device was used for visiting this website (e.g. desktop, phone or tablet)
- visit duration
There are advanced features in Google Analytics to find out what your interests are based on other websites you visit, but I am not using that. If I would turn that on, I would have to mention it here.
If you don't want to be part of the Google Analytics, you can opt-out. Search for "Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on" on Google.
You could also disable javascript, but then this website doesn't work properly anymore.
Chaport
If you visit the Feedback & Contact page and open a chat, data is being shared with Chaport.
Chaport is the company whose software I use for the chat integration.
For more information, have a look at their privacy policy.
If you send me an email, I might get your full name, email address and IP-address.
In some cases it is possible that I receive even more personal details, for example if you include your phone number in your standard email footer.
